Aldea Bamboo

Our main interest is the integral health of people and the planet; with faith that if we improve as people, we will also improve our society and our relationship with the earth.

On the one hand, retreats, workshops and therapies seek to help people to be the best version of themselves and on the other hand, natural architecture proposes a model of life and development in harmony with nature, which brings immense health benefits. Combining natural architecture and personal development, Aldea Bamboo seeks to be the example of a way of living in balance both with ourselves and with nature.

Bio-architecture

Bamboo construction is a highly ecological, durable and beautiful. The cabins are raised on stilts so as not to modify the land, which brings the benefit of greater freshness to the cabin and the animals continue to circulate freely below. Its octagonal geometry gives it a special atmosphere that is reflected in the deep and restful sleep that our guests experience. With the dry bath, while taking care of the water and not contributing to the contamination of the San Pancho estuary, it invites us to change our habits and live for a few days in a more harmonious way with nature; demonstrating its proper functioning and creating compost and fertilizer for the trees. The gray water passes through grease traps and goes to water the plants, which is why all the cleaning products we offer are biodegradable.

Location

The location of Aldea Bamboo is privileged; far enough from the town of San Pancho to avoid the daily hustle and bustle but close enough to access all the cultural and culinary offerings that the beautiful town offers. A few steps from the most beautiful, quiet and least visited part of the beach, the sunsets are true spectacles that show us the majesty of life. Immersed in the low cudisifolia forest, surrounded by unaltered vegetation, the bamboo facilities stand proud of having respected each tree and each palm in their construction.

The Cabins:

We have three independent cabins designed so that a couple has everything they need in the same space; with a sofa from which two single beds come out, gives the possibility of accommodating an up to 4 people family. Its full kitchenette, dry bathroom and closet are carefully designed to go unnoticed in the central space, whose dome lets in light from above, illuminating the cabin and creating a very special atmosphere. It has a terrace with its table, chairs and two Acapulco chairs to relax and enjoy the jungle. The shower is outdoors which makes bathing a unique experience.

Infrastructure:

Aldea Bamboo has a cabin with a massage table to give therapies, massages or talks to small groups.

Our large Sushumna multipurpose saloon has a view of the jungle, a wooden floor and mosquito netting.

Below this is the group room with three bunk beds and another room with three single beds.

Both rooms have a terrace and dry toilets and outdoor showers.

Very soon we will have Temazcal!

Jaime Mohar

From a young age, Taoist meditation and Shotokan Karate formed me as a person; on the one hand Taoism nourishing my internal, esoteric, feminine part and on the other hand Karate nourishing my external, exoteric and masculine part.

Both paths led me to contact my body, teaching me to feel and listen to it, to notice my emotions to know what to do with them and to observe my mind by focusing my attention.

These disciplines made me see that body consciousness is the guide of our own path, it is the door to our authenticity, the vehicle that liberates us, leads us to ecstasy and is the voice of our own authority.

It was my French teacher Catherine Bechard who revealed to me that I had gifts as a healer; together with my Zapotec teacher and traditional medicine man Álvaro Vázquez, taught me to discover and contact my own way of healing.

The integration of its two opposite but complementary worlds: indigenous and European; rational and intuitive; man and woman; resulted in a truly integrative way of approaching healing and helping to balance the complexity of the health-disease relationship.

Without wanting to put labels or classifications on it, they called this way of healing Traditional Healing with Hands, since this is the way in which all traditional cultures have allways healed; in which feeling, intuition, physiological and functional knowledge, emotional and energetic, are integrated to help balance the multidimensional being that we are.

At the same time, I continued my studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Taoism with Master Jerónimo García, a direct student of Grand Master Mantak Chia, with whom I have entered the study and practice of conscious sexuality, Chi Kung and the study of feminine and masculine forces in human beings.

I studied biomagnetism with several teachers, which led me to create the Orgonets, high-power magnets encapsulated with quartz, which I integrate into the therapy.

Stillness Touch craniosacral therapy was integrated to my therapy after studying it with Master James Ridley.

In 2017 the dream of building Aldea Bamboo was materialized.
